Strategi Perguruan Tinggi untuk Meningkatkan IKU 1 dan IKU 2 Melalui Kewirausahaan Mahasiswa Sebagai Pilihan Karier di Universitas Riau

Abstrak

Entrepreneur ship is a concept that has taken center stage in the development of the global economy which has now become an attractive lifestyle and career choice for many people, including students. This article aims to describe the role of career centers in higher education in preparing and shaping students' entrepreneur ial skills. One of the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) is the quality of graduates as measured by the percentage of graduates who manage to get decent jobs, continue their studies or become entrepreneur s. The results of the 2022 Universitas Riau Tracer Study report show that only around 8.61% of graduates choose to become entrepreneur s. While the results of the P2K2 career center survey show that 24% of students have an interest in becoming entrepreneur s. There is a considerable realization gap between interest and career. During 2022, Universitas Riau is actively implementing Independent Entrepreneur ship (WMK) to promote entrepreneur ship as a career choice. As a result, in 2023 there will be a growth in the number of prospective entrepreneur students who take part in entrepreneur ship competitions and receive funding from the P2MW, KMP and KMI programs by up to 87%. Various programs to strengthen the entrepreneur ial ecosystem at the University of Riau are carried out including equalizing the perceptions of policy stakeholders, drafting regulations, general guidelines, SOPs, integrated curriculum, conversion of achievements in the field of entrepreneur ship in courses and final projects, digitization of information systems for entrepreneur ship development services, and the entrepreneur ial community of UNRI Entrepreneur Society (UNRIES). By implementing this strategy, the university's career center promotes entrepreneur ship as a promising career option, which in turn will increase the chances of getting a decent job after graduation, and will indirectly impact the achievement of IKU 1 and IKU 2 Universitas Riau.
